bela-pharm GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1967 by Dipl.-Betriebswirt (Business Administration) Klaus Bergmann in Langförden/Vechta. The name Bela is composed of two words: Bergmann and Langförden.
Initially active as a trading company in the veterinary sector, the business orientated itself more strongly towards the manufacture of veterinary medicines in 1970. In 1980, the company headquarters was moved to Vechta. Today, 190 employees manufacture pharmaceutical products for the veterinary sector across a total area of 25,000 m² (production area 9,000 m²).
Since 01.01.1970, the company has been operated in the form of a GmbH & Co. KG. It is managed and represented by Dr. Stephan Bergmann, Managing Director of bela-pharm GmbH & Co. KG. The business purpose is the "Manufacture and sale of vaccination substances, medicines, disinfection and feed supplements as well as chemicals of all kinds". bela-pharm GmbH & Co. KG cooperates with its sister company mepro Dr. Jaeger u. Bergmann GmbH. mepro are specialists in the field of feed additives, technical devices and care products.
