bela-pharm was founded in 1967, by Klaus Bergmann (Dip. Business Management), in Langförden/Vechta. The name Bela was taken from a combination of the two names: Bergmann and Langförden.
Initially, bela-pharm was active as a trading company in the veterinary field, but by 1970 the production of veterinary medicines became the dominant focus. By 1980 the company relocated to Vechta.
